IPPC-ISPM 15

ISPM 15 (International Standards For Phytosanitary Measures No. 15) is an International Phytosanitary Measure developed by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) that directly addresses the need to treat wood materials of a thickness greater than 6mm, used to ship products between countries – therefore it is a regulation for wood packaging material in international trade. According to the directive, every batch of wood packaging destined to foreign markets must undergo a treatment that involves exposing the wood to heat (56°C) for 30 minutes.

ISO

PalletBiz targets to comply with all relevant ISO standards within the Packaging & Handling industry. These international standards enable us to serve our clients with the best products possible while following global regulations, and also prove that what our business provides is real QUALITY. Some of our franchisees have obtained ISO certifications in Quality Management (9001:2015) and Environmental Management (14001:2015). Our mission is to have all PalletBiz franchisees certified in the coming years – wherever relevant and applicable.

IFUA green controlling award

The Global Sustainability Department of PalletBiz submitted a study on applied corporate sustainability within the context of the organization – operating in the industrial packaging sector – as an application to the IFUA Green Controlling Award – and we are delighted to announce that PalletBiz was awarded the prize for our outstanding strategic solution! The study delineates the overall perspective of PalletBiz on (corporate) sustainability, while highlighting the importance of a strategic approach towards the concept; as having a well thought-out, planned, and structured agenda has been proven to be the only method that has the potential to pave the way towards real sustainable development of an organization. Quality guidelines

PalletBiz is continuously developing quality guidelines in order to ensure that our products meet the required criteria and highest standards – regarding both raw materials and the finished goods – may they be of wood or metal. Code of conduct

PalletBiz is a strong advocate of fair and sustainable business operations, which is mirrored in our Code of Conduct (CoC). The PalletBiz CoC must be recognized and complied with by all our suppliers, harvesters, sawmills and traders. We furthermore urge all partners to comply with FSC® or similar certification programs, as we will perform evaluation of suppliers accordingly.
